The Added Stability and Support You Need

TAMA's Ergo-Rider Quartet with Backrest 1st Chair series drum throne combines the amazing ergonomics of their hybrid Ergo-Rider seat with the added support of double-braced quad legs and a padded backrest. A 2-piece Seat Lock hinge collar system eliminates wobble and provides an amazingly secure connection between the seat and the base of your throne. The Ergo-Rider Quartet with Backrest also includes TAMA's Super Stabilizer design to keep the center of gravity low, and a set of oversized rubber feet add amazing stability. Top it off with Glide-Tite Grip Joint, Rocklok nylon bushing, and a smooth, T-bolt-based height adjustment system, and you just can't beat the value of the Ergo-Rider Quartet with Backrest.

One of my best purchases...

After forty-something years of drumming, my old back has started to get a little uncomfortable when I sit behind the kit for long rehearsals or long performances. I've been using the same Tama throne since 1985, but I decided to splurge on this new one, and holy cow what a difference. Just finished a 3 hour rehearsal without any real breaks, and my back feels perfect, like I did nothing at all. I worried this throne was maybe overkill, but I bought it anyway. Now, I totally recommend it. Amazing.

I Love This Ego Chair

This Ergo Drum Chair is the best! :)

Lasts forever! Seriously

To be honest, I have not purchased this throne. But I did purchase the same version in 1990. I still have it, I still use it every day and I have had zero problems with it. There are no tears in material, no stripped bolts, the feet are still on it and the height adjustment never slips. It is still the most comfortable throne I have used. The one improvement that I see that makes this even better is having four legs. My version has only three and could be a little unstable if you lean back and have the legs positioned a little off. It's hard to believe that mine is 30 years old and I've never wanted a different one. It was kind of expensive at the time and still is today, but it is one of the best pieces of gear I've ever purchased, and one of the few things I still have. This is not a paid review from Tama, I just came across the listing, but if you are listening :)

Super comfortable

I wish I had bought this year's ago. It's super comfortable, even through 9:30-1:30 sets. It's VERY HEAVY. This combined with having four legs makes it very stable. I really love this throne and would recommend it to anyone.
