Great mic, easy marked up

I recently purchased my km184 on 2/12/2024. When I used it for the first time, the mic stand attachment that comes with the mic, left black marks on the sides of the mic. The mic sounds fantastic, but I just wanted to advise that the nickel plated version seems to scuff up extremely easy.

Awesome SDC!

Bought this mic for acoustic guitar and it's excellent for that purpose. However, a surprise Wow! hit me when I used it as a drum OH. It captures the whole kit beautifully. I've struggled to get the right sound even with eight or nine mics on the whole set, but a close mic on snare, another on kick and one KM 184 OH is the best sound I've ever gotten from the drums. I'm blown away. I'm getting another ASAP!

Simply Amazing

I used a pair of these when recording my sample library. They are just wonderful mics to work with. It does a fantastic job for acoustic instruments and drum overheads. I've used them for several odd jobs like recording a kick drum and vocals and they performed just fine. Just a really accurate and great sounding and low noise all around mic. If you can afford it, go for it.
