Great Case

I bought this to replace a Protector case I've used for about 30 years. I'm positive this case will last me another 30. Plus it has wheels & SKB guarantees them for life. Great buy!

Cymbal Case

Best Drum Set Cymbal Caddy I Have Ever Owned

I have owned this SKB Cymbal Vault on wheels for around 12 years now. This works great for drum set cymbals, and since it is made out of hard plastic I can pile other boxes on it if I need to when loading a vehicle with equipment. I can also slide it between boxes very easily and not worry about the plastic being scratched/damaged like I would with a bag. The post with the very large wing nut keeps the cymbals locked into place. The fabric separators add protection between cymbals. Good Cymbals are not cheap, so you want to protect your investment. The telescoping handle and the wheels make moving all the cymbals very easy. If you have more than 2 suspended cymbals and 1 pair of hi-hats, the total weight of the cymbals gets heavy. That's why the wheels are very important. I find the stiff box handle actually makes it easier to lift with a lot of cymbals in it than with a cymbal bag. I only wish they would make a version of this box for hand cymbals (i.e., crash cymbals used in orchestra/band concerts). You cannot put cymbals on a post if they have handles on them.

Nothing I Don't Want, Everything I Need

For the entirety of the time I've played drums, one of the things I wish I'd spent money on from the beginning was a cymbal vault, or even just a case. I'd wrapped them in shirts, the plastic cymbals bags that you get when you buy them, and even an old shipping case for them that had a nasty threaded bolt that stuck out of the middle of it. I'm surprised I never key-holed any of my cymbals, to be honest! But, that's definitely not a worry for me now, and boy, what a difference this is going to make. Separate pads to go in between each cymbal (it came stock with just enough for what I use!), and even a felt piece where the bell would meet the inside of the case. The strap make it feel that much more secure, and the wheels are just icing on the cake. I'm glad I finally invested in something made to protect my investments.
