Light Stands for Retro Fans

Ask any drummer what their least favorite part of the job is, and they'll probably say hauling around gear. Fortunately, the DW 6000 Ultralight Series is saving drummers trips to the stage and injuries from overuse. These retro-styled stands, with their flush bases, look great on vintage sets and club kits. And their lighter-gauge steel tubing provides the utmost in portability - all with the quality you expect from the DW name. The DW 6000 Ultralight hardware pack includes two straight cymbals stands and a vintage cradle-style snare stand. Each of these feature DW's Glide Tilters, which Sweetwater drummers found to be quick and precise. Also included is a Direct Pull Action hi-hat stand that's smooth and stable even with a heavy foot.

DW 6000 Ultralight Series Hardware Pack with Bag Features:
  • Lightweight and easy to carry
  • Great retro looks with flush bases
  • Includes 2 cymbal stands (6710UL), a snare stand (6300UL), and a hi-hat stand (6500UL)
  • Snare and cymbals stands feature DW's Glide Tilters for smooth, precise angling
  • Hi-hat stand features a direct-pull action for unwasted motion
  • Black canvas DW hardware bag is durable and compact, with dividers to keep stands from rubbing together
Downgrade your bulk and upgrade your looks with DW 6000 Ultralight Series hardware!

Just what the Doctor Ordered

First : Sweetwster: Amazing customer service. They know what they're talking about, free delivery. stuff gets yo mr in a day or two. So, I decided to both upgrade and downsize my kit. I sold my old kit with a 20X16 kick and double braced hardware. I bought a Gretsch Renown 3 Piece shell pack with
an 18 x 14 kick. (See my separate review on that wonderful product) I also bought this ultra light hardware package. I am so impressed . The hardware comes in a carrying case, which can be picked up, fully loaded , with one hand. I could barely pick up my old fully loaded hardware bag with two hands. As I was setting the hardware up, I was skeptical. However, the engineering is amazing . I've practiced for hours at rock volumes with no problem. So far the only time I've moved the kit is to my back patio for socially distanced jams, but everything held up despite some pretty high winds that day. (See pictures) All of the hardware pictured is from the DW Ultralight 6000 Series, except for the Tom mount and Ride mount on the kick drum. A couple of notes: The snare stand is a bit fiddly, but once you figure out how to adjust the tension on the basket, you'll be fine. You won't be able to hang anything from the cymbal stands. That is a small price to pay for how much easier this hardware is to move around.Note: Ignore the ugly old fat guy behind the kit!

Better Than Expected

Hardware is outrageously lightweight, yet very sturdy.

The included bag is a highlight, fitting the entire package, along with my floor tom legs and the extra UL cymbal stand I picked up.

Highly recommend for anyone out there looking to lighten the load!

Best Hardware, period.

I have one regret...that I didn't buy this years ago!

I plan to complete this hardware set with the DW 6000 Kick Pedal, as my DW 5000 Kick Pedal is the heaviest part in my hardware bag currently.

That said, I wish DW made a throne to compliment this hardware set, as it looks like I'll use a kid's size Ludwig throne for gigs, as my Roc-n-Soc throne (which is VERY comfortable) is way too bulky & heavy for traveling to/from gigs.

Keep doing what you're doing DW, just pump out the products!

Greatness!!

52 year old with back issues - These stands are going to keep me gigging for years to come.
I've used them outside twice in the wind, and they are extremely sturdy. Love this hardware!

Super Light

Got this hardware for smaller venues to use with ludwig breakbeats. Have the kit and ultralight hardware setup in practice room. With a rug on a carpet the stands are still very stable. 14" snare, 14" hats, 20" ride, and 18" crash. I thrash and bash in the middle of the day and have no issues whatsoever with wobble. Very sturdy and worth the money.
